After being dragged out of the shed since its incarceration 5 or 6 years ago this GSXR was brought to us for a bit of a makeover.
The customer wanted something different and the head down riding style of the Gixer was no longer to his suiting, so, a set of Renthal streetfighter bars and an aftermarket top yoke later, the riding position was much more upright and a lot more comfortable for the rider.
Although the customer was looking for a sort of streetfighter look he was also quite keen on keeping a fairing and as we were in the midst of our own TL project the conversation was started (half jokingly) on the possibility of fitting the standard TL nose cone to the rather naked Gixer. And so with the modification and fabrication of a lot of mounting brackets the joke soon became a reality and a very different looking bike was born (or reborn).
